Dear RWSN members,

As we start winding down the year, I would like to invite you to reflect on the great achievements of 2022. This was a year of great transitions for RWSN, and exciting new developments as well. RWSN and partners continued advocating for rural WASH in several events including the Stockholm World Water Week, UNC Water and Health, All Systems Go Africa, Groundwater SADC-GMI.

In November, RWSN celebrated 30 years of its foundation. To mark the occasion, we invited our members to share their stories and experiences in a very lively blog series – you can read the blogs here. We hosted an intergenerational dialogue event in September, where our younger and more senior members shared experiences and wisdom on WASH failures. We also hosted a capacity building workshop: Hidden WASH needs of perimenopausal women. We have just closed an e-discussion entitled “Rural water service management: what drives performance?”, see the summary attached.
