ACE25 to deliver extensive educational program for water professionals

(DENVER) –  A robust educational program with more than 440 presenters awaits water professionals at the American Water Works Association's (AWWA) Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE25), June 8-11, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.

This year’s program at the Colorado Convention Center offers 22 professional tracks, including 147 total technical sessions and 15 Innovation Hub Sessions, all designed to equip attendees with practical insights, cutting-edge research, and solutions to the water sector's most pressing challenges.

Centered around the theme “Elevate,” ACE25 will challenge attendees to raise the bar in every facet of water management. The conference will explore how water professionals can elevate drinking water quality, excellence on the job, and their positive impact on the communities they serve. 

Attendees will have ample opportunities to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) by participating in expert-led technical sessions that feature real-world case studies and interactive discussions, providing knowledge directly applicable to their work.

Among the track highlights for ACE25 are:

• A Focus on PFAS : Providing insights on detection, treatment, and stakeholder communication strategies for PFAS.
• Capital Improvement Projects : Exploring innovative designs, new building techniques, and project delivery strategies for water infrastructure improvements, with a focus on cost management.
• The Future of Water : Discussing innovations and strategies in funding, treatment, storage, distribution, and management to future-proof water systems.
• The Latest on Lead and Copper : Presenting up-to-date insights on the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, including lead reduction plans and corrosion control strategies.
• Regulatory and Legislative Actions : Uncovering the latest developments in federal, state, provincial, and local regulations impacting utility operations and management.
• Reuse : Identifying challenges and proven strategies for implementing water reuse solutions as new, diversified water sources.
• Water Education and Workforce : Focusing on developing a skilled and diverse workforce to address aging infrastructure, emerging technologies, and sustainability in the water sector.
• Water in the West : Examining distinct water challenges in Colorado and other Western states, focusing on sustainable water management and infrastructure upgrades.

“ACE is where the best minds of the water sector come together to share their successes and challenges and work together for creative solutions,” said Paul Olson, AWWA interim director of engineering and technical services. “Our ACE25 educational program fuels this collaboration, equipping attendees with the knowledge and expertise needed to tackle today's challenges and build a resilient water future.”

ACE25 is expected to draw 11,000 attendees and features an exposition with about 450 exhibitors and more than 1,100 booths in the Colorado Convention Center.
