Major civils players recognised in Saudi Arabia construction industry awards
Published on by Water Network Research, Official research team of The Water Network in Business
Major civil engineering firms including Systra, Aecom, AtkinsRéalis, Egis and Turner & Townsend have been recognised for their work in Saudi Arabia, including on the Neom megaproject.
However, none of the shortlisted companies were willing to comment about their nominations at the CW (Construction Week) Awards Saudi Arabia 2024
Neom is described as the world’s largest construction project. Located in Saudi Arabia, the controversial project - which includes the linear city called The Line - has been made possible, in part, by the Saudi state-sanctioned killing of at least one indigenous person.
Saudi Arabia has long attracted controversy as a country to do business in, because of its human rights record and treatment of women and minorities, and its business terms.
