The awards are given out annually by Insight Publications, publishers of business and manufacturing magazines in Wisconsin. The winners are announced at the annual ThincTechnology and Innovation Conference, which will take place May 9th at UW-Fox Valley in Menasha.
According to the publisher, the awards are given to honor businesses and organizations in the New North (NE Wisconsin area) that come up with an idea that’s a game changer and then develop a way to implement it.
"The timing on this is perfect, as we are getting ready to announce an exciting new product, and whether or not we win, this might be just the occasion to announce it. We are honored to be in such great company and feel like winners already simply because we were considered."

Insight’s confidential judges panel looks through nominations to determine a winner, based not only on the idea, but the results as well. Awards are handed out in four categories: Planet, Product, Process and People.
