The Link Between Water and Energy Services in Palestine (Video)

Discover in this video the testimonies of the people of Tubas area and representatives of the local water utility, stating their difficulty of access to affordable water in this arid region of northern Palestine.
The Nexus Nord project, financed by € 10M by AFD and € 7.5M by the EU will, thanks to wind turbines - the first in Palestine – and to the solar panels, reduce the energy costs for water operators in the city of Tubas and villages in western Jenin. These Operators will be able to provide a more efficient and sustainable service to its 23,000 users and guarantee access to decent water and sanitation, a fundamental right recognized by the UN, through the financing of works of water and sanitation networks.
