Ekkehard Holzbecher, Full Professor at German University of Technology in Oman

Prof. Ekkehard Holzbecher holds academic degrees in mathematics (diploma at University of Cologne), in civil engineering (doctorate at Techn. Univ. Berlin) and in hydrogeology (habilitation at Freie Univ. Berlin). For more than three decades he worked at various university and research institutions, mainly on water related environmental problems, in particular concerning groundwater. Abroad he has taken research positions in Japan and Israel, and taught modeling courses in Austria, Spain, Poland, Japan and the USA. He is author of several textbooks, published by Springer International Publishers. His monograph ‘Environmental Modeling’ appeared hitherto in 2 editions.Since 2014 he is affiliated with German University of Technology in Muscat, Oman (GUtech), where he holds the position as Full Professor.
