About

I'm completing a book, China's Risk: Energy, Water, Food and Regional Security (Columbia University Press), that examines how resource issues shape China's relations with Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. I examine how Chinese officials and experts view the water-energy-food nexus and what this means for China's relations with Eurasian neighbors.

My field is Political Science and I am a Professor at Montclair State University, as well as an affiliated researcher at Columbia University's Weatherhead East Asian Insitute and the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
