Snorkel Michigan wants to recognize and express our most sincere appreciation to all of the volunteers that will be coordinating an online event to celebrate World Fish Migration Day on Saturday, May 21, 2022.These volunteers from all over the world are doing it in Loving Memory of Nancy Washburne, the Pioneer of Freshwater Discovery in Michigan. The purpose of these events is to enhance the awareness and commitment for migratory fish and healthy rivers all over the world. With great pride the World Fish Migration Organization has announced that 402 organizations from 86 countries have signed the petition calling for a clear commitment to safeguard river connectivity and free-flowing rivers around the world. In addition, people from all over the world will be having celebratory events to commemorate World Fish Migration Day on Saturday, May 21, 2022.Snorkel Michigan is proud to have coordinated several of these events in three continents, in Loving Memory of Nancy Washburne, the Pioneer of Freshwater Discovery in Michigan.
