RE: RSVP for 'Upgrading Saudi Arabia's Wastewater Treatment Sector'

On Tuesday 27th October at 11am GMT, Eng. Majed Al Ruwaili of the National Water Company, Saudi Arabia, will be presenting the NWC's revised plans for upgrading Saudi Arabia's wastewater treatment sector at a high-level networking meeting which will gather a selected group of key regional players. This new programme will see private investors and operators revolutionise the quality of the country's network of wastewater treatment plants.

In a bid to stimulate private investment and to attract top-performing potential partners who can contribute to the delivery of this ambitious programme, Eng. Al Ruwaili will be leading this meeting with a keynote address to attendees, followed by a panel discussion and a high-level roundtable networking session.

RSVP: GWI, in partnership with NWC, is inviting your company to participate in this high-level meeting - you can secure your seat and RSVP directly by registering on the Remo event page by clicking 'save me a spot'. Further instructions for delegates will follow ahead of the meeting next week.

Meeting Information

Objective: Following the launch of an updated RFQ (request for qualifications) for the long-term operation and maintenance of the sewage treatment plants, the objective of this meeting is to outline the revised plans to the NWC's potential partners and to give delegates the connections needed for successful involvement in a plan that will see the Kingdom's largest STPs handed over to private operators for a period of 10-25 years. It is also an opportunity for the NWC to engage the local and international private sector in the upcoming programme as it reaches this key milestone.

Agenda:

11:00 - Delegate Orientation & Networking

11:10 - Keynote Address: Eng. Majed Al Ruwaili, General Manager Environmental Compliance & Wastewater Services of the National Water Company will explain how this new approach to bringing private finance into state-owned wastewater treatment assets differs from previous plans and will detail the next steps in stimulating private investment in the upgrading and enhancement of the Kingdom’s Water Treatment sector.

11:20 - Q&A Panel Discussion:
Tom Scotney, Editor of GWI Magazine, Global Water Intelligence
Eng. Majed Al Ruwaili, General Manager Environmental Compliance & Wastewater Services, National Water Company Saudi Arabia
Javier Diaz, KSA Country Manager, Aqualia

11:40 - 2 x 10 Minute Round Table Rotations: Delegates join tables marked with specific topics to kick start the discussions and networking.

We hope that you are able to attend? Due to the planning required for the roundtable segment of this session, we politely ask that you RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan the roundtable layout. If you would like to extend this invitation to other key representatives in your organisation, please feel free to do so.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Aqualia for their support in sponsoring this meeting. Support from our partners allows us to keep the project community connected at a time when these high-level meetings and interactions are otherwise impossible.

We hope to see you on the 27th October.
