National water agency PUB is on a global hunt for ways to remove emissions from its water treatment processes. $6.5 million will be awarded for solutions that can help achieve the PUB's goal of net-zero emissions by mid-century. PUB's floating solar systems and land-based installations currently generate enough power to offset 8% of its annual energy needs. Feasibility studies will be carried out next year for more such systems at Lower Seletar and Pandan reservoirs.
