David, desalination might be the answer to potable water in areas having access to brackish or salt water - but what does one do when there is no access to water or the distance too great .. Ambient Water Inc. manufactures containerized Air-to-Water generators. The new AW-800 unit runs on solar and back-up batteries to produce 800 gallons of secure, clean, great tasting water from the air, daily.

Mr. Pahah you are correct to cite the terrible present and future prospect for water in Africa and elsewhere. You are also correct that solar powered desalination is the ideal solution. But with limited technical skills and a very widely distributed water demand caution is advised in placing hundreds pieces of high tech, complex maintenance equipment many kilometers from expert repair and operations support.
The case you make for solar desalination is the exact fit for our direct solar thermal desalination. We have raised the GOR from 0.25 to 5.0 for solar desalination and offer a zero brine waste option. We can even convert that waste RO brine which is raising sea salt level, recover over 90% as distilled water and the only other product is dry salt. See www.suns-river.com for more information. Our equipment has no internal moving or electric/eletronic parts, an estimated 20 - 25 year life and our most complex component is a low pressure water pump. Simple as a deep well to operate and can operate with 100% solar power. Individual home units can be easily human powered.

Dès l'instant où la technique humaine destabilise l'harmonie naturelle de notre environnement il y aura source de création de manifestation négative qui vont nuire à l'homme
From the moment where human technology destabilize the natural harmony of our environment there will be source of creation of negative event that will harm humans

Thank you for sharing this important article. This technology would be useful for desalination of water at comunity level with affordable cost.

we have water resource but as you say we need money and the TWP is more expensive for us we need the support of developed countries technilogical and financial
