Nutrient Removal, Remediation, Recycling and Repurposing Webinar on Thursday, September 10, 2020, 9:00am - 12:00pm (central).

Learn about the removal and reduction of harmful algae algae blooms in waterways affecting fishing, swimming, tourism, real estate values, local economies and are a health risk to humans and animals. They can also affect drinking water.

Areas of discussion:

• Harmful algae blooms affecting waterways in 50 states.
https://www.ewg.org/key-issues/water/toxicalgae.

• Nutrient runoff creating devastating algae blooms, HABs and red tide in waterways, worsening every year and affecting fishing, swimming, tourism, real estate values and local economies and are a health risk to humans and animals.

• States, counties, algae task forces, lake associations and coastal waterways are looking for solutions after decades of research, testing and monitoring that have not fixed any of these devastating problems. They worsen every year!

• Immediate action that is needed.

• The algae bloom, HAB and red tide remediation projected market in one state alone is projected to be $3 trillion dollars.

• Who will fund remediaton of our waterways?

Presentations and discussions will focus around funding end-to-end, holistic commercial pilot tests and scale up for decentralized removal, remediation and reduction of nitrogen and phosphorus at non-point sources before entering waterways and simultaneously working together with commercial remediation technologies on lakes and coastlines.
