This presentation discusses the necessity of large flow calibration systems for water main systems for the determination of leakage losses, and the quantities of processed water that can be saved through the combination of distribution-side minimization of leakage losses and consumer-side conservation -- and why it makes little sense to put costly recycled and/or desalinated water into water mains that continue to leak.
