Bottled water is not as clean as it seems! πŸ’§πŸš¨

A recent study shows that 93% of bottled water contains microplastics - and in alarming quantities! Brands such as NestlΓ© Pure Life, Bisleri and Gerolsteiner perform particularly poorly, with some containing over 10,000 microplastic particles per liter. Even well-known brands such as Aquafina and San Pellegrino are not free of microplastics.

πŸ‘‰ Glass and recycled bottles also often have even higher concentrations of microplastics, as other studies show. It is alarming that even more sustainable alternatives are not spared from this problem.

πŸ’¬ What does this mean for us as consumers? This seriously undermines trust in clean, bottled water. Plastic that we ingest through water can have long-term health consequences.

It's time to think about how we can make our water consumption more sustainable and healthier.
