Dear Sir,
I agree with you, but the real problem here is the implementation and lack of political will to solve the issue and public participation. Like the CRZ’s laws, it’s time now to make some River Regulation Zones (RRZs) so that the disasters, loss of life and property can be controlled and/or minimized. Encroachment is the real problem, when the water flow in the river is less, areas around the area is encroached. When the flow is more, the loss are huge.
