On October 16, Acwa’s team completed the first ever mission of condition assessment of a clean water pipe with a fully autonomous robot running inside the pipe without disrupting distribution at the Syndicat de l'Eau du Dunkerquois in partnership with SUEZ. 550m of 250mm diameter pipes were successfully and thoroughly inspected by our first autonomous robot, Pathfinder, collecting geolocalisation, pipe diameters and residual thickness data as well as 4k images from inside the pipe.
Several other missions are already scheduled in the coming months with major French utilities, running longer distances and sharpening the quality of the data collected.

For Acwa, this is a major step towards the full deployment of our solution and the delivery of extensive condition assessment data to water utilities to optimize their clean water asset management and reduce Non Revenue Water.

The support of Imagine H2O through the Urban Water Challenge Acwa was selected for was key to this first project as well as the on-going program European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) on-going program. Now off to the next mission!
