The Navajo Nation has a population of approximately 170,000. One-forth of this Native American community live in homes without running water.
As of May 18, CNN reported the Navajo Nation has surpassed New York and New Jersey for the highest per-capita coronavirus infection rate in the US -- another sign of Covid-19's disproportionate impact on minority communities. We are in search of short-term and long-term water solutions to address the need for sanitation and hygiene, and pure water.
