Published on by Water Network Research, Official research team of The Water Network in Case Studies
The Tampa Water Department is embracing innovative ultrasonic technology to reduce algae growth in the Hillsborough River Reservoir.
Following a successful two-year pilot program, the department will continue using this eco-friendly method, which has already reduced chemical use and improved water quality. Funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, this initiative highlights Tampa’s commitment to providing safe, clean drinking water for its residents.
