There are varying statistics about quantification of water loss due to evaporation from dams and lakes.
Figures range from 30% to 50% of loss of water which seems to be a gigantic problem at hand to address.
In the following, we mention some solutions proposed by the researchers:
1- Physical Methods of evaporation reduction that use floating cover (such as Floating continuous covers)
2- Physical Methods of evaporation reduction that use suspended covers (such as Shade cloth & The cover of solar photovoltaics PV)
3- Physical Method of evaporation reduction by injection of air bubbles into water (bubble plume)
4- Chemical methods of evaporation reduction
5- Method of biological covers (such as floating plants & Wind breakers)
In our opinion, this problem can be solved with a cheaper and more suitable method, and we have a proposal for it.
We hope that with the advancement of technology and the needs of the world community, this method can be studied and applied. Therefore, we are waiting for water and environment researchers and investing in this field.
