Recovering plastic waste

Thanks to funding from over 400 brands,  CleanHub currently supports nine communities  across India, Indonesia, Tanzania, and Guatemala. Their goal is to strengthen waste management systems in these regions to prevent plastic waste from ever reaching the ocean.

So far,  CleanHub has recovered more than 13,000,000 kilograms of plastic waste  and connected more than 250,000 households to waste management. 

Their solution goes beyond recycling, addressing the root cause of plastic pollution. And since not all plastic can be recycled, CleanHub ensures that all non-recyclable waste is responsibly collected and sent to co-processing, where it can be utilized to create cleaner energy for the cement industry.

Putting transparency at the forefront of its work, CleanHub has even developed an app to track the amount of waste collected. AI is also used to monitor this data, noting any anomalies or health and safety breaches during collection.
