Better late than never... Unfortunately, Effluent treatment today is either negligent or shoddy... There is no process widely practiced to the demonstrate the contrary (that does not ultimately harm another ecosystem)! Even Water treatment itself for use/re-use/drinking purposes does so on negligent or shoddy terms (with limited scope of mitigating downstream effects from its resulting reject streams). Some 2,500 cubic kilometres of oxygen-deficient (oxygen demanding) contaminated water emanate from sewerage, desalination and power sources annually. Time for Change is past due at www.baleen.com
