This is excellent Nikhilesh, thank you. I didn't realise how much additional electricity cost was with MSF compared to MED (additional 3 to 4 kWh/m3). In regard to the RO brine discharge temperature & the increased SW temperature in the vicinity. My measurements of the temperature increase from inlet to discharge on a standard SWRO are less than 2degC. I can't imaging the temperature is accumulating (but I only say this because the dissolved solids disperse efficiently) - I may be wrong. Where you state "temperature of the SW rises by 6-8deg in the vicinity of discharge", is this specifically for MSF / MED ? or is this in degF ? Kind Regards, Anthony
