Anatoly Krutov, Key Expert at Stantec

Mr Anatoly Krutov holds the Doctorate title in Environmental management of natural resources from the Moscow State Environment Management University and he has over 30 years of experience in integrated water resources management and environmental governance.

Mr Krutov is a proficient manager with over 15 years of experience in international development projects in the institutional development, water management, and environmental governance fields. He is fully familiar with project preparation and programming, project cycle management, and logical framework analysis. He was responsible for the development of projects’ technical approaches, planning, the establishment of beneficiary partnerships, implementation and supervision of projects, and the direction of large teams of national and international consultants. He managed projects financed by various donors and IFIs, including the EU, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UN, and Aid Agencies.

Mr Krutov is well acquainted with the EU aid delivery methods, procedures, and guidelines for designing and implementing international development projects. He has strong knowledge of the EU environmental legislation. He held various positions in EU-funded projects including the ones of senior expert and Team Leader, and all the time, his inputs were highly valued. In many instances, he was instrumental in ensuring constructive dialogue between the parties and signatures on crucial agreements which in turn led to tangible improvements in strengthening cooperation between countries.

Mr Krutov has been heavily involved in numerous training programs’ design, courseware development and adult learning methodologies, content development, training evaluation, eLearning, and blended learning in the environmental governance field.

His native language is Russian, and he is fluent in oral and written English. He has used both languages during his participation in international projects.
