I’m interested in Biogeochemistry, Water sources, Water quality and management, Geochemistry, Environmental isotopes, Climate change and Geomorphology. As being me researcher lives in Egypt, I'm more curious about environmental issues, especially in my hometown Aswan. Aswan locates in Upper Egypt, the town of the high dam and one of the largest man-made lakes in the world "Lake Nasser". I intend to investigate the future of this vital lake. So I think I need to make an overall environmental assessment, including managing its water (quantitatively and qualitatively) for different purposes. I suppose that my project is significant because my country is facing a big challenge due to water scarcity, especially after the
establishment of the grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. On the other hand, the influence of long-term climate variations on this lake is very significant factor which should be considered. Since my area is located in the most arid portion in the world, so making an environmental and hydrological modeling for climate change impact assessment for the lake would be appreciated for the future investigations. Adding to this managing the salinity problems which is consider being an obstacle facing agricultural activity in this hyper-arid region of Egypt, moreover it may affect the quality of the underground water beneath it. Using phytoremediation techniques as a low cost and non-harmful technique may be used for managing such annoying salinity problems in the area of the west bank of the lake (e.g. Toshka region).
