Hello Ang,
You will need at least a few boreholes with an accurate description (per meter) of the layers (sand, gravel, clay, etc).
To get a better coverage of the area between these points of information, you can apply geophysical techniques like Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES), Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), Timedomain ElectroMagnetics (TEM), etc.
You will the information from the borehole descriptions to interprete the readings of the geophysical measurements.
