UNCSD Rio+20 Future We Want urges the need to have capacity development for data mining, as a process of searching and discovering valuable information and knowledge in large volumes of data using basic principles from concepts in databases, machine learning, statistics, pattern recognition and 'soft' computing. We need to learn from good practices for conserving water case studies to avert looming water crisis using data mining tools, technologies and techniques that enables more opportunistic use of data banks of aerial remote sensing images.
