In this article the authors elaborate on the potential to capitalise on the binational water allocation framework strengths for enhancing water resources management in the RGB Basin. We argue that the current framework keeps the door open to accommodate a wide range of opportunities for advancing the RGB treaty framework and articulating the interests of stakeholders and water management agencies.
