Dear Researchers. 3 projects by UTSA would go a long way in augmenting water - reserves for the future of  San Antonio. One phenomenon urbanites have to be cautious is the alrming rate of decrease of ground water- reserves in respective aquifers, both quantity and quality of water contained need to be monitored and controlled. Adequate water presence in aquifers give the region a band of soil layer with moisture, evidently a sustained eco-system. If this water/ moisture presence is depleted, like at most urban areas, then the soil tends to harden and lose bio-diversity.  Also if the soil is moist then it maintains as soft and spongy in nature.  This spongy nature assists in cushioning tremo-shocks in the case of e-quakes Etc. As soil is harder the trmrs and shocks become more pronounced with bad-effects. In seismic zones and urbans having high rise dwellings, the effect could be devastating . To remedy this water reserves in ground water is to be sustained by doing RWH and others as planned. Well wishes.
