A British start-up that uses waste from the cheese industry to produce green gas has been acquired by German water treatment firm EnviroChemie GmbH, it was announced.
Clearfleau designs, builds, and operates on-site industrial treatment systems that generate renewable energy from liquid bio waste produced by the brewing, drinks, and cheese-making sectors.
The buyout will help Clearfleau expand its European market base and help EnviroChemie develop its position in the UK market, said Jörg Krause, EnviroChemie's managing director.
