Turning Utilities Performance Challenges into GHG Reduction Opportunities
Published on by Hemant Arora, MScWater Management in Technology
Presenting an innovative approach to sustainable urban water management, the recently launched Climate Smart Water platform offers a roadmap to guide utilities through the process of planning and implementing improvement measures in a changing climate.
Check out the video https://vimeo.com/261271449
The platform gives access to a free tool, ECAM, to inform which improvement measures can have the biggest impact on the entire drinking water and wastewater system; illustrates promising opportunities to gain a higher technical capacity while reducing GHG emissions, and compiles publications that demonstrate a worldwide drive towards a low carbon, low energy water sector.
To expand this existing wealth of knowledge, we'd like you to navigate the tool and share solutions that contribute to reducing GHGs, improve energy and water efficiency in water utilities. Be a part of the solution by contributing:
• Case Studies
• Best Practices/Guidelines
• Tools and training material
• Policies, Standard & Regulations
