World Water-Tech North America summit announces move to Los Angeles for October 2019

After 6 successful years in Toronto, the World Water-Tech North America organizers have announced a strategic relocation for its next edition, to be held in Los Angeles on October 29-30, 2019.

The annual summit attracts senior business leaders from US, Canadian and international water utilities and industrial end-users, engineering giants, technology developers and supply chain partners seeking solutions to today’s challenges of asset optimization, conservation, leakage and reuse. The market opportunity is significant, with the North American water and wastewater market set to increase from USD 103.59bn in 2017 to 119.56bn in 2025. (Hexa Research, Nov 2018).

Commenting on the decision to relocate the summit, Jennie Moss, Founder and Managing Director of summit organizer Rethink Events said:

“Serving the biggest water market in the world is a responsibility we take very seriously. We’ve been listening carefully to our extensive ecosystem of past and prospective delegates, partners and advisory board members. They have defined the need for our kind of water event in the US, combining incisive debate, fresh thinking and candid case studies with the disruptive potential of the most exciting water-tech entrepreneurs, plus the key investors to bring those game-changing solutions to market.

The water sector is highly collaborative. We’ve seen exciting partnerships emerge after each of our gatherings, with the growth of open innovation and a willingness to share risks and successes.

Our summit audience has the power to really shift the dial of new technology adoption and digitization across the water sector.

We’re thrilled to be bringing the World Water-Tech North America summit to Los Angeles in California, the fifth largest economy in the world and one of its most water-stressed yet technologically advanced regions. As a global hub for business, industry, finance and agriculture, the Los Angeles location will unlock new opportunities for stakeholders right across the US and Canada to make valuable new connections, share expertise and experiences, together recalibrating the future of the North American water sector.

The summit’s agenda is coming together under the guidance of our valued advisory board, senior members from 23 water utilities and companies including IBM, IWA, Jacobs, LA Sanitation, Los Angeles Dept of Water and Power (LADWAP), Metropolitan Water District Southern California, Miami-Dade, Microsoft, NYC Environmental Protection, SUEZ and WaterStart. We welcome interest now from water industry thought leaders to join the speaking faculty, and from technology providers, water-tech innovators and supply chain partners who want to get involved.”
