MIT Technology Review has an article about desalination:http://www.technologyreview.com/featuredstory/533446/desalination-out-of...It has a stark outlook on the costs of safe drinking water from several sources. It is hard to imagine salt water is becoming a very viable source for drinking water given the energy costs, but as it reads, 'you can't recycle what you don't have'. Are we allowing too many people to live and too many water consuming production to exist in water scarce areas? What would be the most sustainable policy for this situation?
