Seeking Collaboration with young scientists (under 35) for the Youth for Water and Climate proposal

Hello,

My name is Konstantina Pyrgaki and I am a PhD student in the fields of Environmental geochemistry ,hydrogeochemistry-groundwater quality and water management at the Department of Geology of the University of Athens and I am working also as a research associate at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas. I am really interested in submitting a proposal under the call of Youth for Water and Climate of GWP ( https://youthwaterclimate.org/call-for-proposals-be-bold-be-creative-get-support/ ) so I am searching for other young scientists who want to participate in order to shape the main idea of the project and to find a project leader with a case study from low and middle income countries .The present call has the following eligibility criteria:

The project must be youth-led, with the youth being aged between 18 and 35:
➢ Project leaders from low and middle income countries or targeting indigenous communities will be prioritized;
➢ Project must address one or several of the 4 YWC pillars;

A. Water and health: can be related to WASH, health campaigns, water-borne diseases, etc.
B. Water and agriculture: can be related to irrigation, drought issues, rainwater harvesting, etc.
C. Water-related risks: can be related to risk management, recovery and response to natural disasters, floods, drought, etc.
D. Sharing water: can be related to transboundary cooperation, watershed management, water & peace, etc.
➢ Youth participation must be included across all aspects of the project.
➢ Projects must have a direct local impact on vulnerable communities;
➢ Can be an ongoing or new project;
➢ The proposals will be assessed and scored according to a scoring grid;
➢ An additional score will also be attributed for innovativeness, including social entrepreneurship and the use of new technologies.
➢ Projects already receiving funds from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) are not admissible.
