It is time for a new direction in Utah's water management. Dennis Strong, head of the Utah Division of Water Resources, has repeatedly stated that his agency will provide the water, but it is up to the communities to determine what they want water management to look like. Fiscal responsibility and transparency. Washington County ranks as one of the highest water users in the Western U.S. It is this high water use that has been used as the justification for the multibillion dollar Lake Powell Pipeline. Regardless of your feelings on the Lake Powell Pipeline, if approved, you will pay for it.
