We. 25. Oct. 17 Emerging Membrane Technologies for Industrial Water Management in the Surface Treatment Industry Venue: WKO - Rudolf Sallinger Saal, Wiedner Hauptstraße 63, 1045 Wien Organizer: AEE INTEC Worldwide, about 68 million tons of raw materials are consumed per year currently, which is equivalent to 10 times the amount of the year 1902. A change of production processes aiming a “Circular Economy” is essential for a sustainable future with finite resources. Valuable metals and chemicals are continuously lost in the processes e.g. due to the rinsing step. Innovative technologies for the recovery of these valuable substances as well as the resource water are urgently needed. The aim of this International Conference „Emerging Membrane Technologies for Industrial Water Management in the Surface Treatment Industry“ is to bring scientists and engineers directly together with responsible persons from industry. The program includes best practice examples, future technological developments as well as system integration and energy concepts. An open round of discussion on how to overcome challenges will complete the meeting and shall stimulate new research questions and further cooperation among the participants.
