Portable Shower Reuses Same Water for Two Weeks

The Hotaru has built in sensors and a purifier for repeat washes

Plumbing or a supply of clean water isn’t always readily available for a number of reasons, which is why a start-up has created a very smart solution.

Called the Hotaru, it’s a portable shower that can be folded into a carry case, and recycles the water it uses so the same supply can be used for two weeks – cutting down on waste an enormous amount.

The shower has a purification system built into the base that cleans the water each time it’s used, so you get a completely fresh shower each time you use it.

There are also sensors built in to alert you when the water is ready to be changed. It’s still in development so there’s no sign of a release date or a price just yet.
