Bison anticipates all S&S employees will remain with the company post-close, including Ryan Surroz, President of S&S, who will now become President of Bison's water infrastructure division. This strategic acquisition firmly establishes Bison as the largest and only fully-integrated water midstream company with assets in every major basin across the state. In addition to its water midstream division, Bison and its affiliates offer a wide range of upstream and midstream services including trucking and logistics, environmental services, pipeline construction, midstream manufacturing and fabrication, fishing and rental tools and other energy infrastructure services.
North Whipple, CEO of Bison, commented: "This transaction marks a significant milestone for Bison, a company we started only three years ago. The recent downturn has presented many challenges for our industry, but as other service companies downsized, restructured or relocated assets to Texas, Bison went all in on Oklahoma. Since then, Bison and its affiliates have grown into the state's largest privately-held energy services company with over 1,500 employees, 17 yards, 300 transport trucks, 25 commercial disposal facilities and an integrated network of water gathering infrastructure strategically located in every major oil and gas play in Oklahoma.
"Acquiring S&S was a logical next step for us as we significantly expand our water midstream activities in the region and look to double our operations over the next twelve months. On a combined basis, Bison is now the #1 provider of water hauling, gathering, disposal and infrastructure services in Oklahoma. We believe a consolidated platform is an essential evolution for any service company seeking to stay relevant in this rapidly changing environment and will become increasingly important to customers as they test the limits of large-scale pad drilling, longer laterals and upsized completions.
"We look forward to our continued work with operators across Oklahoma to bring new water solutions and infrastructure to the SCOOP, STACK, Merge and Arkoma. We are confident that our scale and competitive advantages will prove valuable to anyone who has experienced the challenges of working with smaller service companies that rely on expensive middle-men, subcontractors and third-party service providers. This is a very exciting time in Oklahoma's oil and gas history, and we are proud to play a role in supporting our state's most vital industry."
Ryan Surroz commented: "The S&S team has built the largest integrated commercial water infrastructure asset in the SCOOP, STACK and Merge in two years. I am truly proud of what we've accomplished in such a short period of time. Now we are excited to join with the Bison team to accelerate our growth across the state, which will allow us to deliver even greater value to our customers."
