OSMOSUN® by Mascara - Create Water Where Life Is

French based company, Mascara NT is specialized in innovative water treatment solutions with the use of renewable energies. The first phase of development resulted in the industrialization of OSMOSUN®, the world's first range of industrial solutions for solar-powered seawater and brackish water desalination, with a daily production capacity ranging from 1 to 20,000 m3 with hybrid energy sources.

Since 2014, this patented major innovation is enabling communities, utilities and private organizations around the world to produce fresh water at an unprecedented low cost, with minimized greenhouse gas emissions in operation. With our solar powered reverse osmosis units implemented in 25+ countries, we provide a local solution to the global water crisis while supporting the energy transition. Faced with the increasingly globalized water crisis, Mascara continues to act.

The milestone of 2 million cubic meters of water produced using #OSMOSUN® desalination units was passed at the beginning of September. This milestone represents an important step for the ambition we have: to become essential in the water treatment market in order to bring healthy water to all those who need it. It illustrates the impact of our development and our increasingly assertive credibility in the eyes of decision-makers.

We are pursuing this ambition in concrete terms, with three new installations initiated in recent weeks: a solar brackish water desalination unit for UNICEF in Madagascar and 5 units for communities in Mauritania, as well as a solar water desalination unit of sea for a hotel complex in the Pacific. Our society is growing and our needs are important to achieve these goals.
