Severn Trent Leakage Hackathon and Sprint
Published on by Paul Sutherland FCIM, Senior Associate at ADD Strategy Ltd. in Business
Severn Trent are seeking fresh thinking about leakage management.
We are coming together at Coventry University Technology Park on the 27th November to explore and develop new and innovative ways to redefine leakage models, and to consider how to develop better intelligence about our trunk mains and secondary distribution networks.
The event is free to attend. There are a range of ways to get involved and there are sponsored places, talk and tech demonstration opportunities.
We will explore ways to:
develop measurement
A huge amount of work continues to be done to define leakage. Are our models as accurate as they could be? Can we better account for unmetered and unbilled consumption?
develop asset intelligence
Making sound decisions on repair and replacement priorities is critical. Severn Trent would like to build real time intelligence about its assets and better prioritise work and utilisation of resources. The focus is trunk-line and secondary distribution.
reduce leakage
The overall aim is to reduce leakage through better definition of leakage and insight.
