WABAG bagged its maiden order from UAE worth about USD 100 Million towards the engineering and procurement activities of 120 MIGD Hassyan Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Plant, Dubai. WABAG Secured the order from Green EPC (an Utico FZC subsidiary), the prime EPC contractor for this project. Utico FZC was selected as the preferred bidder by DEWA to build & operate the SWRO plant for 35 years under IWP Model, wherein DEWA will off-take 100% of water from this plant.
The project marks a significant step in direction of Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to maximize use of Green Energy for Desalination and use of Solar Energy to supplement power requirement during the daytime.
This is a significant break-through for WABAG in the UAE enabling to showcase its technical excellence and execution capabilities to ensure timely completion of this prestigious, challenging and fast track Desalination project of national importance with team Utico & Green EPC. With the maiden order in UAE, WABAG further strengthens its presence in the Middle East region in line with its long term vision.
