The water footprint of Mexico in the context of North America
A report by WWF Mexico
One result of the study is that although large volumes of water (62,000 Hm3 in 2009) and areas (22 million hr. in 2011) are intended for primary production, yields are insufficient to provide for the whole national population, and the water demand jeopardizes the sustainability of ecosystems.
