Following our successful production of the Water Startup Matching Extravaganza during EPA Water Innovation Week in Cincinnati last fall, we are THRILLED to bring this exciting event here to Washington, DC on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, under our new event brand: WaterPitch!
Teaming with the American University Center for Environmental Policy and Veloric Center for Entrepreneurship, as well as with Watervent, we are once again offering a full-day of Water Startup Pitches in 6 sessions covering a range of technologies and marketing such as:
Industrial Water Management, Treatment, and Environmental Remediation
Municipal Wastewater and Stormwater
Water Supply Infrastructure, Drinking Water and Reuse
Point of Use Treatment and Global WASH
Sustainability, Ecosystem/Habitat, Water Resources Management and Hydropower
Residential, Commercial and Consumer-Focused
Irrigation, Food and Beverage
NOTE: The final 6 themes will be determined based upon the Startups that register
We will also have sessions of "Reverse Pitches" (sharing their biggest water challenges, what they look for in a solution or founder, and how to get the money!) by:
VCs/Angels/Investor Groups
Federal/Nonprofit/International Funders & Contractors
Water Sector Clients
Industrial Sector Clients
"Ecosystems Of Support" (Accelerators/Incubators, Clusters and Communities)
The event includes a Startup and Resource Expo (see tech demos!) and extensive opportunities for networking and building strategic connections (with matching support!).
Prior to the event, all Pitching Startups and Reverse Pitch Presenters receive Coaching during our Virtual "Pitch Prep & Practice" Sessions as well as onsite Presentation Coaching to maximize their opportunities to "make a match" with an investor, funder, or client. Pitching Startups are sorted into one of 6 themes, with contact info and summaries available online and in the hard copy Pitch Program (with room for notes!) to ensure Startups can be easily found by their best audience. We also will have "Audience Choice" Pitch Awards for each session!
