We are very proud to announce that the Report of the Celebration of the 5th World Fish Migration Day, includes a photo of Nancy Washburne, to honor her Legacy of Freshwater Discovery.
The "BREAK FREE" 5th World Fish Migration Day achieved a record number of 78 countries, and 3100 organizations joining in the celebration this year. It engaged over 2 million fish and river fans of all ages. 473 events were celebrated, from dam removals, to river cleanups to international seminars and more.
This report is being circulated in English, French and Spanish to millions of people around the world.
To include a photo of Nancy Washburne in this report, mentioning the Memorial Celebrations in her honor, is a wonderful global tribute to her Legacy of Freshwater Discovery.
We want to express our most sincere appreciation to World Fish Migration Foundation, headquartered in the Netherlands, for this kind and gracious homage to Nancy Washburne's love for freshwater fish and nature.
