Human Rights Walk for Water The Desnet Foundation, in partnership with the Young Water Professionals will be hosting a Human Rights Walk for Water on National Human Rights Day (21 March). The purpose of the walk is to commemorate South Africa National Water Week and World Water Day. It will take place at the Kloofendal Nature Reserve, South Africa The Desnet Foundation is a non-profit, voluntary organisation committed to providing a platform for the realisation of every individual’s right to have access to adequate safe potable water as outlined in the Constitution of South Africa, 1996. Through strategic partnerships with sponsors, collaborations with other non-profit organisations, leading companies, schools, research centres and institutions of higher learning, the foundation aims to tackle access to water, water quality and water availability issues in South Africa.
