I must say I am a firm believer in great minds think alike.  Most of the items on this article have already been developed and refined. The key to any eco system is efficiency. All components of any system must have a multi function purpose.  As most over 40 remember Biosphere 2 was a failure because they did not start with natures basic biological functions and ran out of Oxygen, twice.  I do think trying to recreate natures various biological functions is both costly and will only be available "TOMORROW???"  The project you are currently working on has already been designed and waiting for funding for construction.  The facility is made to last generations. It is 100% sustainable, and 100% off the grid. Many other benefits.   Of course the genius behind this technology was a German scientist. Dr Oppenheimer. His family seemed to have a way of making a big bang in our society. Unlike most government operations. Dr Oppenheimer had a philosophy. "Information is free. Product you have to buy".  You may contact me for current technology in this area.  skype: guy_mcgowen.  The Bio Guy!
