Accessibility ​to Safe ​Drinking Water in ​South ​Sudan

REACH Initiative calculated the areas more likely to have WASH needs basing the estimation on the data collected between March and April 2017 with the Area of Knowledge ( AoK ) approach.

They used the following methodology:

The indicator was created by averaging the percentages of key informants (KIs) reporting on the following for specific settlements:

0% indicates a reported impossibility to access safe drinking water by all KIs, while 100% indicates safe drinking water was reported accessible by each KI.

Only assessed settlements are shown on the map. Values for different settlements have been averaged and represented with hexagons 10km wide.
