The order has a value of approximately $10 million and it is booked in the Marine Separation & Heat Transfer Equipment unit of the Marine Division, with deliveries scheduled from 2019 to 2021.
The order comprises 33 Alfa Laval PureBallast 3 systems, including deckhouses and a service agreement. The customer is one of Turkey's most prominent ship owners, and the ballast water systems will be installed throughout its fleet.
"I am very pleased to announce this big order for our PureBallast systems," says Peter Leifland, President of the Marine Division. "The order shows the confidence marine customers have in our reliable and efficient ballast water systems."
Alfa Laval PureBallast, which was the first commercially-available ballast water treatment solution, is a chemical-free technology, sold and serviced by Alfa Laval. A vital component of PureBallast is the enhanced UV reactor, which was developed jointly by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water based on Wallenius Water technology.
