As part of a strategic collaboration between the Government of the Republic of Angola, UNICEF and GWOPA/UN-Habitat, two Water Operators’ Partnerships will be promoted in Angola to support the operators of Cunene and Cabinda.
Among the submissions received, two successful mentor operators will be chosen to support 1 Angolan operator each, over a period of 1 year.
Participation will require travel by mentor operator staff and technical visits to Angola for periods of one week to one month. Successful mentoring operators will assist the Angolan operator to:
- Conduct a needs diagnosis of the Angolan operator, and priority areas for improvement
- Select among these areas for improvement those that should be included in a first phase Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
- Implement the short-term PIP (between 6 months and 1 year).
The operational cost of the WOPs will be covered by the Office of UNICEF in Angola.
All submissions should be made before the 20th of June and the results of the call will be announced on the 20th of July 2016.
