Current Water Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into a consulting contract to participate in the evaluation of water treatment options for the treatment of ammonia at a Canadian gold mining operation owned by a major North American mining company.
Industrial activities such as metal mining and fertilizer production can generate considerable ammonia. Ammonia is regulated due to its toxicity to aquatic life, and the new Metal & Diamond Mining Effluent Regulations, to be fully enacted by June 2021, includes unionized ammonia as a prescribed deleterious substance. CWTI’s field-proven patented AmmEl technology represents a leading solution for treating ammonia in mining and other industrial activities worldwide. The Company welcomes the opportunity to work closely with Canadian mining operations to incorporate its ammonia treatment system.
CWTI anticipates completing the Scope of Work by year-end.
