Israel’s Water Resource Ethic: More With Less - Circle of Blue
Published on by Peter Sharry, Axiom Water Technologies Pty Ltd - Owner - Director
This article briefly raises interesting points that are slowly gaining more profile in the general community - scarcity, waste and recycling and reduction in consumption. In the industrialised nations we are still excessive water users and generally don't value water (or wastewater) as the precious resource that it is. There is one small example here of the ways in which we can make a practical difference to our water footprints.
Like many others I didn't realise that Israel had created a major water diversion canal many years ago. One contemporary example is the South to North Water Diversion project in China. It is an interesting and extraordinary engineering project, the full consequences of which on social, environmental and economic systems remain to be seen. More information on the project can be read here:

I'm not sure that the words 'Israel', 'water' and 'ethic' go together. If you doubt me, please visit Lake Tiberius and the Dead Sea.
